The research team at the HKU School of Public Health have been at the forefront of research into COVID-19. The HKU team are part of a large consortium of international experts to answer this question in different parts of the world. One of the urgent questions to be answered is "how long will the immunity last after COVID-19 vaccination?"
We sincerely invite Hong Kong citizens to join a large-scale community-based cohort study on Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccines. To understand how immunity against COVID-19 changes over time after COVID-19 vaccination or infection by SARS-CoV-2 (the coronavirus causing COVID-19), we will regularly monitor the health conditions of the participants including routine questionnaires, blood draws and respiratory sample collection, and we will collect additional respiratory sample when participants report acute respiratory symptoms (click here for a brief introduction of the study). To show our appreciation of the participant's support to the study, we will provide supermarket coupons, and occasionally send you the results of your laboratory testing or the study findings of the cohort as a whole. For more details please refer to the Participant Information Sheet or contact us directly.
Please answer a few simple questions below and provide your contact information to allow us to check whether you are eligible to join the study. We will then contact you to provide detailed information about the study and arrange to obtain your informed consent to participate in the study.
